EnglishHere is the English version.

EnglishThis is a traditional retelling of the story of Zacchaeus based on Luke 19:1–10, not a modern documented report. Zacchaeus was a rich tax collector in Jericho. He was short, and a crowd stood around Jesus. Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus, but he could not see over the people. So he ran ahead and climbed a tree beside the road. When Jesus came, he looked up and said, “Zacchaeus, come down quickly. I will stay at your house today.” Zacchaeus came down quickly and welcomed Jesus with joy. Then Zacchaeus said, “I will give half of my money to poor people. If I took too much from anyone, I will return four times as much.” Jesus said that salvation had come to his house. In this traditional story, Zacchaeus responds to Jesus by changing his actions and repairing harm.
