EnglishDavid Faces Goliath with a Sling. This is a short introduction to a traditional Bible story.
EnglishThis is a traditional Bible story, told in the First Book of Samuel. David is a young shepherd. He watches his sheep. A large soldier named Goliath challenges the Israelite army. The soldiers are afraid. David says, “I will go.” King Saul gives David armor, but it is too big. David takes five smooth stones and his sling. He walks toward Goliath. David puts one stone in the sling. He swings it and throws the stone. The stone hits Goliath’s forehead, and Goliath falls. The army sees this and runs forward. This story teaches courage and trust in God to many people.
